Lisa spent most of the day playing with Korry. Korry lives in one of the houses nearby and also goes to the International School. Lisa calls her 'that girl who is ten'.Also, today was my last day in the employ of Havant College!
Every wednesday there is a Bazaar (market - mostly food) just behind Beau Vallon beach. We bought our dinner there and sat and ate it on the beach. Karen had a whole grilled fish with rice and I had octopus curry!
Dinner on the beach....
Oh yeh, and school started today. No kids, just some meetings and sorting stuff out.
Today we moved to our new house in Beau Vallon. Beau Vallon is a small community based around the long, sandy Beau Vallon beach. There are a few shops, bank, petrol station, couple of pubs and resturants. Our house is up a steep hill behind the beach. The school is in Victoria which can be seen in the distance over the hill.
This is our house! Big veranda, kitchen/diner/living room, two bedrooms, two bathrooms. Our car (when we get one) will go where those two mini mokes are.
The Seychelles is a group of small islands spread over a large area, just north of Madagascar, off the East coast of Africa. The main island, where we will be is called Mahe. Mahe is about the size of the Isle of Wight. The International School is in the capital city Victoria. The population of the Seychelles is about 70,000
Karen and Lisa on the beach at the Plantation Hotel. Our first afternoon in the Seychelles.
Me and Lisa checking out the pool. That is a top way to recover from a 10 hour flight!
