On the way home we stopped in Barry.  Barry and Barry Island are used in the TV series Gavin and Stacey....including Marcos Cafe...

Another great week at Poppit.

Joe Scout Camp

Joe went to scout camp this week.  They were camping by the River Wye at Biblin's Youth Campsite.  They did some mountain biking in the Forest of Dean..

I had a nice kayak over to Langstone with Jez for a drink tonight...

Danny and Lisa in Devon

Me and Lisa took off for a few days camping in Devon this week.  The weather was cooking!

We found a nice countryside site near Salcombe...

We did some kayaking from Thurlestone Beach...

Next day we headed to Bantham Beach.  That's Burgh Island in the distance.  Burgh Island is joined to the mainland at Bigbury on Sea by a sand bar when the tide is low...

We went for a surfing lesson :-)

It was great fun, although I don't think we'll be turning pro anytime soon :-)

We walked over Burgh Island on the sand bar for a drink in the Pilchard Inn..

We stopped in Honiton for an ice cream on the way back.  This is usually a post Beautiful Days Festival treat.....

Great trip away :-)

Joe London School Trip

Joe went to London on a school trip this week along with 170 kids from Year 7!
