Today was Lisa's School Sports Day.

Drusillas Park

Today we had a trip to Drusillas Park near Lewes...

Isle of Wight

Tuesday - Isle of Wight
Me, Lisa and Joe headed over to the Isle of Wight today to visit Peter, Julia, Lily and Iris. Karen is away with her mum walking the North Dorset Coast Path. Lisa and Joe very happy to be on the ferry leaving Portsmouth... Lisa checking out a very impressive Swedish tall ship...
We went to Tiffins in Cowes for some lunch. Lily, Lisa and Iris getting stuck into their sarnies...

Wednesday - Isle of Wight Steam Railway.

We went for a look at the IOW Steam Railway. Peter and Julia in Third Class...

The trains are haunted by horrible ghosts...

There was a falconery display at the Haven Street Station. Here are the girls with an 11 week old Barn Owl...

Joe was very impressed with the climbing frame in the playground. "Can we take it home dad?"

Thursday - Amazon World

Today we went to see all the animals at Amazon World. Here are some of the more wild ones - Lesser Spotted Iris, Lilygator, Joemadilo and Lisamingo...

The girls got to go into the cage with the Limas and feed them...

There was a great playground outside Amazon World. Joe very hapy in his castle...

Brownie Sing Song

Lisa's Brownies Group sang some camp fire songs at the Hollybank Friends Spring Festival today. Lisa is bottom row, second from the left. This is the "hugging song!"

Coalie at Fratton Park

Today the Coal Exchange Football Team played in a 7-a-side football tournament on the hallowed turf of Fratton Park. Check out the video here...

Our first game kicks off....
We won 1v0. Great start. There are 4 group games. Top two go through to the 1/4 Finals...
Second game we lost to group favourites Andover. That's me No23...
Del, Scholesy, Simon Band Jezza in defense...

Next we played the tricky Columbians and managed a 0v0 draw.
We had to win the final game to go through to the 1/4 finals. Me and Bran exchange passes...
Despite a nasty injury to Simon O we won the game and made it through to the 1/4 finals. (Simon's toenail is healing well :-)

We went out 2v0 in the 1/4 finals, but had a great day....
