Talking tactics on the ferry on the way to our International fixture in the IOW.  passports ready lads!

The game kicks off in beautiful sunshine.  Here's Pete making yet another great catch from a corner...

Pete with another creative through ball :-)

Chalkie jockeying their strikers.

Geoff driving forewards...

We scored two goals in the first half after brilliant breakaways finished off by Ross.  Here's Chalkie sending another long ball to our strikers...

Unfortunately, Real Vectis got back into it in the second half and ended up coming out 4v2 on top. We broke out the beers at the end of the game....

It was a great game......  We'll 'ave 'em next time :-)

Real Vectis hold onto the Solent Trophy...at least until the second leg in Emsworth :-)

The disappointment is soon forgotten once the beer started flowing....

In the minibus on the way back to the ferry....

What a great day....looking forward to the next one already....

Pompey and Man City

Me and Joe had a full-on Football Weekend.  Pompey v Stevenage and Man City v Liverpool...and Joe even got his hands on the Premier League and FA Cup trophies!

POMPEY V STEVENAGE.  Pre-match grub...Come On Pompey...

Pompey players warming up before the big match....Joe looks a bit worried (he is right to be!)

We're off!

Pompey were awful and got beat 3 v 0.  But the Pompey fans won the singing and there were still a few hundred still singing half an hour after the game had ended....

MAN CITY v LIVERPOOL.  We went to the Ethiad for the second big game of the weekend....

It was a brilliant game.  Full of speed, skill and aggression.  0 v 0 at half-time.

Both teams came close....

In the second half Liverpool scored from a penalty, but Man City piled on the pressure...

At last the equaliser.  Great game.  Good result.  1v1...

What a brilliant weekend of football....
