Iceland with Lisa

Me and Lisa sneaked off for a DIY Geography Field Trip to Iceland for a few days at Easter.
Trekking over endless lava fields...
Beautiful volcanic rock...
This is the junction of the tectonic plates of North America and Eurasia...America on the right and Europe/Asia on the left...
We got down to the coast...the sea was up....
Thule beer to celebrate :-)  Thule is the Northern-most land in the world.  They used to think that was Iceland...
What a geyser!   Great fun geyser watching.....and watching people getting soaked :-)

Gulfoss...the most voluminous waterfall in Europe.....the windiest one too...
We had a walk up the side of a fabulous valley in central Iceland to see Oxararfoss.  This valley is the traditional assembly place for Icelandic people...
