Portland and Vancouver

Me and Joe flew over to Portland Oregon (and Vancouver) for our Easter Ski trip.  Flying with Iceland Air over Greenland....

PORTLAND.   We made it to Phil's place in Portland Oregon :-)

We drove south towards Mt Bachelor for a few days on the piste....

We met Richie and Colin (Phil's son) at Mt Bachelor.  Joe, Philler, Me and Richie.  

We stayed in a great little place in Sun river.  The red car is Phil's.  The white 'A-Team' van is Richie's. 

We had some lovely powder snow in Mt Bachelor.   Joe in the pow....

Well deserved Mexican grub.  Joe, Me, Richie, Colin and Phil.

VANCOUVER.   Me and Joe headed up to Vancouver Canada for some touristing and some more snowboarding.  Here's Joe down by the beach at English Bay. 

We went to see the Vancouver Canucks play the Portland Timbers in BC Place.  It was an exciting game.  Vancouver won 3v2 with two goals in extra time.  Including a penalty from Thomas Muller.  Great fun.

We had a game of pitch n putt, and had to contend with some awkward locals :-)

Granville Island.

We did a couple of days snowboarding up at Cypress Mountain.  Reggie works here, and Karen used to :-)   Amazing views over the city.

We went to see the Vancouver Canucks ice hockey team play the Vegas Knights.  The Canucks lost 2v1.

We flew home from Portland, with the various snowy mountains on the horizon. 

What an amazing trip.  Great to see you guys.

New Year Yomp

We did the Christmas Yomp on New Years Eve this year.  here are Simon and George playing a variation of beer pong at Paul & Deb's house.

Lyme Regis

We had a very nice trip down to Lyme Regis for a meet up with the Davies side of the family...

We had a lovely meal at Tytherleigh Arms near Axminster.

Grandad, Rhys, Joe, Megan, Cadi, Lisa, Karen, Rebecca, Gran and Mark.

We stayed in an Airbnb in Lyme Regis.  Unfortunately the glass fell out of one of the windows!  Luckily it did all get sorted...

Our now traditional Christmas visit to the Volunteer Inn in Lyme.  Fabulous beer :-)

I think that beer was stronger than Karen said it was :-)

Christmas Bike Ride

It was the Thursday Bikers Christmas Ride today.   Geoff, Giles, Chalkie, Scholes (just for that pub), Muir, Paul and Me....

We bumped into Clive with a GO sign near Lavant :-)  ?!?!

We rode to Chichester and up the canal....

After a few stops we finished in the Sussex Brewery.....Cheers...

Christmas Day

Derby 1 v 1 Pompey

Me and Joe went to see Pompey play at Derby.  Here we are in a Derby 'disco' curry house :-)

Predictably, the football ended in another 1v1 draw.
