DrinkaPubathon

It's the 2012 Coalie FC Old Boys Bike Pub Crawl, or the 'DrinkaPubathon' as Chalkie calls it.  This is the final route...
We started with a hearty breakfast in the Greenhouse Cafe. That should keep us going :-)
Out on the road.  The back road to Chichester.  Jez, Clive, Chalkie, Geoff and Simon.  Good formation boys...
Pub No.2 - Richmond Arms in West Ashling.  Cheers Team...
Out in the country.  We made it to Chichester unscathed (apart from the look from the Policeman who Chalkie cycled out in front of :-)
On the way back from Chichester now.  Swift half in the Anchor Blue at Bosham...
Those beers look a bit small lads....
Bosham by the sea....
Berkeley Arms on the way out of Bosham.  Why are you grinning Jezza?

From Chidham we cut across the fields and along the sea-front to Prinsted...
'Oh we do like to ride beside the seaside'
We finally made it back to the Coalie.  Clive, Simon, Chalkie, Danny, Geoff and Jezza.  Cheers Boys.
Another great DrinkaPubathon.  Here's to next year :-)

Jubilee Camping Trip

It's the Big Jubilee Camping Weekend in Sussex. We had a walk up Fulking Hill, near Devil's Dyke. Here are some of the kids big and small spelling out Fulking...
Taking a rest on the hill.  That is Simon and George doing Big Fish Little Fish...
We had lunch on the hill looking north into Sussex...

We popped in to see Mary, George and Lola at Kingston.  Lola, Lisa and Joe on the new swing...

The new (not finished yet) kitchen...

Back at the campsite the rain started but it didn't dampen the campers spirits....Happy Jubilee....

Sunday Morning.  The rain storm last night has seen off most of the other campers but a few hardy soles remain :-)

Today we went to check out Bentley Widlfowl and Motor Museum (and Medieval Battle Field).  Here's Joe in the motor museum.  Mesmerised....

Lunchtime.  I think Joe approves of the cake...

There are lots of sculptures in the woods.  This one was Lisa's favourite...

They have built a mock ancient village in the woodlands.  We met a pipe playing maiden in this house!

Some of the houses are part-built to show the ancient construction techniques.  Joe and Lisa used this one as a stage for their latest production...

The Sussex Medieval Siege Society had set up camp in the grounds of Bentley House...

The Orange and Blacks marching off to battle...

The Battle....careful where you poke that spear!!!

All sorts of traditional crafts were on show as well as the fighting...

We took the train back to the house...

Tree climbing.

Monday....Our last morning.  The girls are having a lie in...

Great trip....Happy Jubilee :-)
