Frome - Samuel Fellows

On our way to Wales we stopped at Frome, hoping to see my great grandfather's entry on the Frome War memorial.  Will has been doing some research into the history of this part of the family.
Here's me and Joe outside the Memoria Theartre....
The War Memorial Plaques are inside the foyer of the theatre and unfortunately the theatre was closed, but with the power of the telephoto lens I did manage to take some photos through the glass.
The left hand side plaque contains the name of Samuel Fellows, my Great Grand Father, who died as a result of injuries sustained in France during the First World War.
The top of the plaque reads 'THE MEN OF THIS TOWN WHO GAVES THEIR LIVES IN THE GREAT WAR 1914-1918'.
There is a close-up of Samuel's name in the next picture...
FELLOWS. S.    Samuel Fellows, father of Frank Fellows, grandfather of Brian Fellows, great grandfather of Daniel Fellows and great great grandfather of Joe Frank Fellows and Lisa Fellows, as well as many others....
The wreath plaque...
It was a very interesting and thought provoking visit.

It also turns out that Frome is a very pleasant place to spend an afternoon.
Here are the kids climbing hills in Frome...
Testing cheese at the market...
A very interesting day....
