Jez's Last Day

It was Jezza's last day today. After school we went for a round of golf with Alex, Brendan and Russell. Here's Jez on the fourth green, complete with half-round refreshments...
Missed again...
A good time was had by all despite the usual erratic scoring. After a couple of post match Seybrews we headed for the Baobab for a well deserved pizza.

Ring a Rambo

Jez went for a walk round the coast to Anse Major today. After school we met him for a swim and a drink down by the beach. Jez insisted on playing Ring a Ring a Roses with Lisa....
Another great sunset tonight..
Me and Jez went to the cinema in Victoria this evening. We saw Rambo 4, which was exactly the gung ho american bloodfest you would expect. Not one for the sqeemish.

Umbrella Surfing

So, 'umbrella surfing' is the latest craze in the Fellows household. Lisa (complete with umbrella) and duck (good name) get dragged round the house on a surfboard. Not sure it'll catch on.
Jez went off to Praslin today. He did the island hopping trip to Cousin, Curieuse and St Pierre. I picked him up from the ferry and we went and played football, followed of course by a few SeyBrews.

Berjaya Boozing

Jez went to have a look round Victoria today and then came in to have a look at the school. He was lucky he didn't get drafted in to do a cover lesson as we were a bit short of teachers. Anyway, we escaped that and we all headed to the Berjaya for a dip and a drink. Here's Jez chilling with a couple of Seychelles finest..
This is what the Berjaya pool looks like after too many SeyBrews! (I'm still trying out all the settings on this fancy new camera)...
Jez got drafted in, by Lisa, to read the bedtime stories..

Jezza

Jez arrived this morning. We dragged him up to the Spice Garden for the Sunday Buffet...any excuse. Here's Karen and Jez in the old house.
Jez, Karen and Lisa wandering round the Spice Garden.
Jump Lisa Jump....
We came back to Beau Vallon for a swim. Here's Karen walking along the beach in the sunset.
Jezza going for a sunset swim.
After the swimming we hit the Baobab (Helen's favourite place in the Seychelles) for the customary sunday evening pizza.

Last Day

It was Helen and Gareth's last day in the Seychelles today. They fly home first thing tomorrow morning. After school we all went to the beach for our customary swim. Here are Karen and Lisa in the water, looking along Beau Vallon beach.
Helen and Gareth tanned up on their last day (well sort of!)...

Corpus Christi

Yet another Seychelles public holiday today, brilliant. Helen and Gareth are over on Praslin for a couple of days so we went down to the Kaz Kreol resturant in Anse Royale for lunch. We have been meaning to go there for ages and it was excellent food, great price, very local. Afterwards we slobbed out on Anse Royale beach.
It is a nice beach for a swim and a snorkel. Lisa spent her time collecting sea water?!?

On the way to pick up Helen and Gareth from the ferry Lisa persuaded us to stop at the playground...

Noone likes a good swing more than Karen!

Back to school tomorrow, and Helen & Gareth's last day.

Back in Seychelles

Back in the Seychelles after a magical weekend back in the UK. Helen and Gareth met me from the airport and we went and had some lunch in the French Cafe..
Grumpy Gareth and Happy Helen..
I picked Karen and Lisa up from school and we went for a swim. Here's me and Lisa messing about in the pool at the Berjaya.
We also had a swim in the sea and played on the beach while the sun went down.
Lisa zonked out..
Back to school tomorrow. I still can't believe that Pompey have won the Cup!!!

We went for a walk in Highgate Woods this morning. Nell is still celebrating Pompey's great FA Cup triumph. Here's Reggie (in his monkey suit), me and Nell. Reggie the monkey by a Monkey Tree!
Thanks for the great stay guys...

Cup Final

Today was the day we thought would never happen. Pompey are in the Cup Final! We are playing Cardiff from the Championship, so it should be a walk-over (if only!) Here are three generations of Fellows Pompey fans arriving at Wembley for the game : Peter, Dad, Me, Will and Freddy.
The teams get a great reception as they come out in front of 90,000 fans.
The Pompey fans massed at the east end of the ground. The atmosphere was fantastic from both sets of fans. We had all waited a long time for this.
Cardiff started the game well, but then after 37 mins Kanu scored for Pompey. It is amazing he can still run when you look at his knees, but he has now scored for Pompey in the semi and the final.Pompey played well in a tense second half. Sulley Muntari takes a corner for Pompey..
Only a few minutes to go. Peter is looking nervous.
The Final whistle blows. 1 v 0 to Pompey. The Pompey fans go wild. The players run over to celebrate with the fans..
What a day, what a game and Pompey have won the cup!
Here's one very happy Pompey fan...
Celebrating with campagne at Will's house before heading out to the pub.
We'll be back at Wembley in August to take on Man Utd in the Charity Sheild, and then Europe! Play Up Pompey.
Also, congratulations again to Peter and Julia on the birth of their second child, Iris Isabel Kanu Fellows!

Fame in London!

This evening I met a few old college friends for a drink at the Lamb & Flag in Covent Garden, London. Before we could make much of a dent in our first pint we found ourselves being interviewed by Sky News about our drinking habits. Fame at last..
After the pub we went for a curry. The curry house was full of Pompey and Cardiff fans gearing up for tomorrow's Cup Final...Play Up Pompey.

While I am in London seeking fame and fortune Karen and Lisa have gone with Helen and Gareth to Bird Island...

Karen's library has moved into the new building and is starting to look very swish. Here are two of Lisa's friends Antonia and Sanshia in the library showing off their ballet steps... Team Library - Miss Sharma and Miss Karen.

Antonia and Lisa.

Gareth Golfing

Gareth, Me and Alec went for a round of golf after school today. It was a very hot day so we felt the need for a couple of SeyBrews before we started, which probably didn't help the score...that's my excuse anyway. Here's Gareth watching Alec tee off on the 7th.

Night Out!

Me and Karen rarely get a chance to have a night out sans Lisa these days, so when Helen offered to put Lisa to bed we jumped at the chance. We had a very nice meal at the Al Mare down by the beach and then went to the swanky Sunset Beach Hotel for a drink... Here's Karen trying out the cool furniture.
The bar extends out over the sea and you can watch the fish swimming around below you.
Cheers Hels :-)

Nicey Spicy

Sunday + Visitors = Spice Gardens. Once everyone had hauled themselves out of bed we made it up to the Spice Garden for Sunday Brunch. The buffet with grilled fish, various curries and loads of salads was as good as ever. Here are Lisa, Helen, Gareth and Karen tucking in.
After lunch we tried to relax on the grass while Lisa tormented us with twigs.
We went for a snorkel and a swim down at Anse Royale. Here's Helen teaching Lisa to swim. Maybe we'll get Lisa swimming without her armbands in these two weeks. Watch this space.
We got home in time to listen to the climax of the English Premier League season. Man Utd won it, yawn, and another lacklustre performance from Pompey helped Fulham to stay up. Only six days to the Cup Final....Play Up Pompey.
