Mark and Rebecca Visit

Mark and Rebecca and family stopped in for a couple of days. Chilli with Joe, Rebecca, Rhys, Megan, Lisa, Caddi, Karen and Mark...

The kids wanted to have a fire, so fire we had :-)

In the morning we had a wander round the pond. The swans had all disappeared so we fed the ducks and the gulls...

The tide was low so we ventured a wander out on the old Fishmans Walk...

Me and Karen went up the Olympic Stadium in London today for the Anniversary Games. This is a Diamond League meeting moved to the Olympic Stadium to mark the anniversary of the London Olympics 2012. Spot the Pole Vaulter clearing 6 metres!

Mo Farrar won the Mens 3000m...

Men's 4 x 100m relay. The British No1 Team dropped the baton :-(

Usain Bolt brought the Jamaican team home in first place...

This was a great event. World Championships in 2 weeks.

Cornwall Bike Trip

It's the great Cornwall Bike Challenge. The plan is to cycle from Padstow on the North Coast to Fowey on the South Coast and then back again. The team : Joel, Me, Geoff, Simon and Chalkie...

The route on Day 1 takes us from Padstow, down the Camel Trail to Wadebridge and Bodmin. We then on Danny's special route down through Lostwithiel to Fowey. Day 2 is the same route but in reverse. All on the hottest weekend for the last 500 years....

FRIDAY - Camping in Padstow. Beer and BBQ :-)

SATURDAY - Heading out on the trail. We got as far as the Camel Valley Vineyard before we needed to stop for refreshment. Geoff and Chalkie on their rather steep driveway...

We went through the Lanhydrock Estate near Bodmin. Joel, Geoff, Chalkie and Simon synchronised cycle team...

We were staying in Polruan, on the opposite side of the harbour from Fowey. Here are the lads heading down to the Polruan Ferry, 'Reservoir Dogs' style...

SUNDAY - Ready for Day 2. Crossing back over to Fowey to start Day 2, back to Padstow..

The cycle track crossed an amazing suspension bridge over the A30 near Bodmin...

Padstow. We made it. And Yes that is Simon 'resting' on the floor. I think we might have worn him out...
