Bristol Footy & Helens

Me and Joe popped into Bristol on the way home from Lyme to see Pompey play Bristol City.

Papa was talking about a great Bristol City player called John Ateyo, and there was a statue of him outside the ground...

We got battered in the match.  Pompey lost 0 v 3.

We cheered ourselves up at Helen and Gareth's with a good catch up and lovely take away curry :-)

Lyme Regis Christmas II

We had a lovely second Christmas at Lyme Regis with Karen's Mum and Dad, Mark, Rebecca and all the cousins...

Watford 2 v 1 Pompey

We went to Pompey's Boxing Day game at Watford today with Ned and his dad Stuart.   Here are the boys with Graham Taylor...

Pompey did OK, but managed to snatch defeat from jaws of victory after throwing away a 1 nil lead.  Watford scored in the 95th minute to win it 2v1.

Xmas 5-a-side Tournament

We had another fabulous Christmas 5-a-side tournament (despite a slight booking cock up by Leisure Centre.)  Here's Seth putting the IOW one up against England :-)

Xmas Bike Ride

We had our Christmas Bike Ride with the Thursday MTB group today.  It was a nice day if a tad windy.  Here we are on the Itchenor Ferry.  Paul, Ro, Simon and me.

My dad went on this ferry 50 years ago when it was a rowing boat! Bit fancier now.

Me, Jimmer and Ralph had a band practice and a very nice night out in Arundel to celebrate Christmas.

Fratton Park in the Dark

We were all ready to watch Pompey play Millwall at Fratton Park.....when the lights went out!

They got some of the lights back on, but it was too late and the game was called off :-(

We went down to Brighton for my birthday treat.... Joe, me and Karen in the North Laines...

We met Lisa for some yummy french grub...

Milland v Bosham Reserves

Joe has been playing with the Bosham Reserves adult team since he turned 16.  

Today they played at Milland.  A team we used to play in the Coalie FC days :-)

And they won 5v2.  Great game.

QPR 1 v 2 Pompey

Me and Joe went up to London to see Pompey at QPR today.  Pompey had yet to win a game.

We were stood next to John Portsmouth Football Club Westwood :-) 

QPR scored but Potts equalised for Pompey to make it 1v1 at half-time.

In the second half Lang scored a penalty to win the game 1v2.  We went to pub to celebrate Pompey's first win of the season with Rayner and Seth.  Play Up Pompey.
