New Year Yomp

Lyme Regis

We had a very nice trip down to Lyme Regis for a meet up with the Davies side of the family...

We had a lovely meal at Tytherleigh Arms near Axminster.

Grandad, Rhys, Joe, Megan, Cadi, Lisa, Karen, Rebecca, Gran and Mark.

We stayed in an Airbnb in Lyme Regis.  Unfortunately the glass fell out of one of the windows!  Luckily it did all get sorted...

Our now traditional Christmas visit to the Volunteer Inn in Lyme.  Fabulous beer :-)

I think that beer was stronger than Karen said it was :-)

Christmas Bike Ride

It was the Thursday Bikers Christmas Ride today.   Geoff, Giles, Chalkie, Scholes (just for that pub), Muir, Paul and Me....

We bumped into Clive with a GO sign near Lavant :-)  ?!?!

We rode to Chichester and up the canal....

After a few stops we finished in the Sussex Brewery.....Cheers...

Christmas Day

Derby 1 v 1 Pompey

Me and Joe went to see Pompey play at Derby.  Here we are in a Derby 'disco' curry house :-)

Predictably, the football ended in another 1v1 draw.

Another rainy Thursday, so instead of biking we went bowling  :-)

Joe London Reytons

Joe went to London today with his mate Henry.  They first went to see Pompey play at Charlton, but that was cancelled after 20mins, after a medical in the crowd. 

Joe and Henry used the extra time to have a ride round London on a pair of Lime Bikes....

They saw all the sights :-)

Then they went to Wembley Arena to see the Reytons...

They had a great time...

Joe's Bosham football

Joe plays for Bosham Under 18s on Sundays.  Here he is taking a corner against Arundel.  You can see the castle in the background :-)

He also plays for Bosham Reserves Mens team on Saturdays.  Here he is playing at Midhurst and Easebourne....

My 60th Birthday Party

Circa Waves - Worthing

We all went to see one of Joe's bands, Circa Waves, tonight at the Worthing Assembly Hall.  :-)

Leicester 1 v1 Pompey

Me and Joe went up to see Pompey play ay Leicester.  We had a look round Leicester museum of natural history first :-)

The game was a good one.  We came from 1 down to draw 1v1.  We're getting used to that score.

Dodie - Southampton

Me and Lisa went to Southampton to see Lisa's favourite singer, Dodie, tonight.  First we had some fabulous Korean grub....

Biking New Forest

We had a ride round the New Forest, and a few pub stops today to celebrate Muir's birthday.

Ipswich 2 v 1 Pompey

Me and Joe went to see Pompey play at Ipswich this weekend.  Nice Thai meal the night before.

We watched some dragon boat racing on the way to the match...

Southampton 0 v 0 Pompey

Me and Joe went to the much anticipated local derby between Southampton and Pompey today.

Great atmosphere, Pompey played well, but the game ended 0v0.

We were driven to the game in a fleet of coaches along a closed M27 motorway, with a police escort and police on every bridge.  Rather over the top security. 

We'll see them again in January.

Mum's 89th Birthday

We went out to celebrate Mum's 89th birthday today.  It was a lovely day..
