Coalie Old Boys v Real Vectis

Today the Coal Exchange Old Boys FC took on Real Vectis Veterans FC from Cowes on the IOW. Before the game we were presented with this fantastic pennant....

It has to be said the conditions were a little soggy...

The Coalie went 1v0 up before Real Vectis equalised and then went ahead 2v1...

It was 2v2 at half-time...

The conditions didn't favour 'Barcelona' style passing football. Great for sliding tackles though...

Things were a little hazardous for the linos!

Coalie went 3v2 ahead in the second half after Jez hammered in a stone wall (-; penalty. Real Vectis scored again to make the final scoreline 3v3.

The game was played in a fantastic sporting manner. At the end both teams were as happy as they were muddy!

There was plenty of post-match analysis and light refreshments after the game back in the Coal Exchange. I am reliably informed that all the Real Vectis players made it back to Cowes. We are all looking forward to the return leg on the IOW.

Lisa Talent Show

It was Red Nose Day today and that's the day that Emsworth Primary School hold their Talent Show. Lisa entered with her Poi routine, and she WON!!!!

Mother's Day

Will's lot came down from Amberley today for Mother's Day. Me, Joe, Lisa and Reggie playing with Reggie's new helicopter...

Will and Rachel brought down a fantastic lunch of fish pie and lentil stew. Will and Freddy preparing...

We supplied the sweet. Here are the kids tucking into strawberries...

Karen made a fantastic chocolate cake. We turned it into a birthday for Nell. It's her big day next week...

We found an old 39th birthday card of Mum's signed by use four kids....

A fantastic day......with three Great Mums!! Thanks to Dad for the Photos.

IOW Bike Trip

ISLE OF WIGHT BIKE TRIP

Me, Chalkie and Geoffer hit the Isle of Wight on our bikes for a few days to see what hills and beer the island had to offer...

MONDAY - DAY 1

We got the ferry over to East Cowes and headed for the Fishbourne Inn via Newport and Arreton...

Waiting for the chain ferry from East to West Cowes....

We were staying in the Fishbourne Inn. I think the boys are glad to be there after a spot of mountain biking in the dark!

The first beer tastes sooooo good...(Old men in the chesterfield :-)....

TUESDAY - DAY 2

Today we headed south to Wroxhall Down which promised great views and spectacular biking. With a ride back on the IOW train to finish the day...
