Joe's First Pompey Match

Today I took Joe to his first Pompey match.  The opponents were Shrewsbury.  Here we are arriving at Fratton Park.  Play Up Pompey.

Joe got to meet the Pompey mascot Nelson before the game...

Pompey are on a good run, but the first half was mostly Shrewsbury.  Nil-Nil at half-time.

The second half was brilliant.  4 goals, one sending off and loads of tension, and POMPEY WON 3v1!!!!!

After the game Joe asked when we can go again.  I think he's hooked.  Poor Lad ;-)

Bath Bear

Joe brought Bath Bear home from Nursery today.  His job is to look after Bath Bear for a couple of days.  Bed time...

Joe and Seth playing with Bath Bear..

Bath Bear survived and he was returned to Nursery intact :-)

"No funny business lads"....

Despite an early goal from the Sportsmans it was an even game...

The Coalie made some great chances...

It was 2 v 1 to the Sportsmans at half-time.  Churchillian motivational speech from the Gaffa...

The Coalie defence held out heroically in the second half, despite losing influential centre back Rob.  Sportsmans went 3v1 up.  Coalie pulled one back and it looked being a tight finish.  3v2.

Towards the end Big Dunc in goal was injured and we shipped another couple of goals.  The game finished : Sportsmans 5 v 2 Coal Exchange.  A good performance despite the scoreline.

UP THE COALIE!!!!
