Anse Georgette Praslin

This is the last day of our three day trip to the island of Praslin. We have been staying at the Villa Flamboyant on St Saveur beach. Here are Karen and Lisa having a swim before breakfast.Breakfast in the Villa Flamboyant. We were late getting up today after our busy day yesterday, so everyone else had gone by the time we arrived for breakfast.
We had heard about a very nice beach in the North West corner of Praslin called Anse Georgette. The problem is that the only access is by sea or through the very high-end Lemuria Hotel. Here's Lisa and Karen walking through the grounds of the Lemuria Hotel, past the golf course.
One of the hotel staff mistook us for hotel guests (?!?!?) and gave us a lift in a golf cart down to the beach. Lisa set to work building a leaf garden in her bucket.
It was a beautiful beach. The water was great for swimming and very clear.
I did a bit of snorkelling at Anse Gorgette. There were the usual array of Angel, Butterfly, Zebra and Emperor fish, but I also saw a shoal of about 300 small Silver Pompano swimming round-and-round in a big doughnut shape.
We flew back to Mahe this afternoon..
Tomorrow we head off for another mini-adventure...this time to Bird Island.
