World Gymnastics Glasgow

Me and Lisa went to Glasgow for the World Gymnastics Championships.
And we bumped into Louis Smith :-)  With his silver medal!
Crossing the river towards the SSE Hydro....
Ready for the competition....
This is the Women's Team Final....
That's Becky Downie (GB) on the balance beam...
The womens team won the first ever team medal at International Level....
The next morning in Glasgow it was a soggy walk into town over the padlock bridge....
We had a look round the Gallery of Modern Art...
Lisa was very taken with the pile of half chairs and broken mirror purses....
And the orange slanty lines....
And the giant doodles....
Ten pin bowling :-)
The next day we bumped into Kelly Sim, from the GB bronze medal team of yesterday, with her medal...
And the Dutch team...
Kelvingrove Museum and Art Gallery...
Faces...
Portrait of Glaswegian Alex Reid by Van Gogh and Woman in Checked Dress by Matisse....
Salted (yes!) Chocolate Brownie...
That evening we were back at the Hydro for the All-Around Final....
No medals for the Brits, but it was a great competition...
Outside there were loads of kids doing gymnastics, so Lisa joined in...
Back to Bournemouth on the FlyBe Turbo prop...
Great trip :-)
