We kicked it off with some good old fashioned Rock n Roll....
Marie performed some of her original poetry.....this one was all about me turning 50!
Nell on the flute.....'Danny Boy'
Chris, with help from Simon, wrote some brilliant new words to 'Always Look on the Bright Side of Life'. It was a very creative take on me and my life :-)
Will singing 'Teenage Kicks'....
And playing 'Ever Fallen In Love With Someone'...
And the fantastic Blondies....Debbie, Tory and Lyzz......looking for a Union City Man....
Will and Julia wrote some new words to 'Rocking All Over The World'...Another masterpiece....
Will, Nell, Mary, Rachel, Peter and Julia doing their Status Quo bit....
The musical climax was Simon and Raynor belting out the Feeder classic 'Buck Rogers'...
More fantastic presents and cards...
Karen did a sterling job dishing out the chilli....
Then it was out round the fire for a drink and some fireworks....
Sparklers....
Will and Pete....my favourite brothers :-)
And the fireworks. Me, Gareth and Freddy hiding in the shed as we let them off...
Lots of people brought fireworks.  It was a fantastic display....
My firework crew.....Freddy and Gareth...
The party went on very late.  The two biggest party animals were the two smallest people....
More sparklers with Jack in charge....
Angus gave us a late performance on the keyboard....he was brilliant!
Pete, Gareth, Helen, Mum, Julia, George and Freddy...
It was all too late for some.....Like Plumb like son....
What a fantastic birthday.  Thanks for all the fireworks, presents, cards, songs, poems.....Brilliant....
The following morning Pete and Will presented me with a kayak....wow!
And Mary gave me 50 bottles of beer!!!!  Each was individually wrapped....
I'm a very lucky bloke indeed :-)
