It was great chilling out on the sofa tonight with a cold beer, a tube of Pringles and a rental DVD. But the film didn't quite live up to the atmosphere. It was OK, I guess. An off-beat tale of rocky realtionships, difficult children, robberies and immigrants, but it was a bit too slow and indulgent...typical Minghella (I still think he should have stayed in the ice-cream business). This one was my choice, so I think we'll let Karen choose the next one.
