This is the port at Victoria. Virtually everything the island needs arrives here. Karen and Lisa on the ferry to Praslin with Victoria disappearing in the background. As we arrived in Praslin we saw two huge Frigate birds circling above the cliffs.
We spent the afternoon at the Valle De Mai Tropical Reserve. This is one of only two places in the world where the mythical Coco De Mer Palm grows naturally. We spent a couple of hours walking through the palm forest. We were hoping to see a Seychelles Black Parrot, but no luck.
But we did see a Jackfruit Tree!
Then we took another ferry over to the island of La Digue. Lisa is looking a bit tired after all that walking in the Valle de Mai.
We stayed at the Chateau St Cloud on La Digue. We had a dip in the pool when we arrived (and Lisa virtually didn't get out until we left!) Our room is on ground floor between the two big white pots.
We celebrated our 10th Wedding Aniversary with some top scoff in the hotel. Ten years already!
