It's Half-Term!
This afternoon we went out on Teddy's Glass Bottom Boat. The plan was to head over towards an outlying reef in the St Anne Marine Park, check out the fish through Teddy's glass bottom(!) and then head over towards Moyenne Island to do some snorkelling.
Lisa checking to see if there are any fish about.
And there were. We stopped at one of the many reefs in the area. This photo was taken over the side of the boat. Apparently the local name for this fish is Marne. There was a shoal of at least 200.
Karen throwing the fish some bread. Lisa eating the bread!
More fish over the side of the boat. These are Zebra Fish, some more Marne and the big silver one (bottom right) is a Silver Lady.
Next we headed over to Moyenne Island. The island is owned by eccentric Yorkshire millionaire and wannabe Robinson Cruseo, Brendon Grimshaw.
That's me checking out the reef life. I must get an underwater camera. The reef was teeming with alsorts of fish, coral and a turtle! I went swimming with a big shoal of Marne. They told me later they are related to the parana fish!
Lisa watching the fish from the boat.
Our boat driver, Daniel, brought up this Spider Conch. We had a look and he put it back.
Karen braves the waters for her first Seychelles snorkel dive.
It was a fantastic trip and has definately wetted our appetite for more snorkelling.
We returned to the house, finished off yesterday's chilli and watched the sunset...
